The Team The Team

The following is a recent article from Curb's weekly column in Christian Radio Weekly magazine:

Recently, Curb Records artists Nate Sallie and Marie Miller set out on a Midwest road trip visiting a dozen radio stations and squeezing in several special appearances. The first stop was KSBJ in Houston. Nate and Marie were invited to not only visit the station for interviews and performances but also a special listener concert at Chick-Fil-A in Katy, TX where the afternoon show is broadcast live. The 500-seat tent was filled to capacity and another 200 attendees crowded around the edges to see Nate Sallie and Marie Miller perform their current singles as well as songs from their respective projects and a selection of worship songs. Other stops on the Curb in the Car road trip included KXOJ and The Spirit in Tulsa, OK; KOBC in Joplin, MO; KWND and 99 Hit FM in Springfield, MO; KLJC in Kansas City, MO; The FISH in Omaha, NE; KZZQ and KNWI in Des Moines, IA; KWOF in Cedar Rapids, IA; and KTIS in St. Paul, MN. Each visit included interviews and on-air performances along with several private staff and listener concerts.

Nate Sallie is currently supporting his new single “Lone Ranger” which is already Top 20 at CRW AC. “Lone Ranger” is from Nate Sallie’s new album “Ruined For Ordinary” which hit stores in April. During radio interviews, Nate was eager to share the personal journey of spiritual renewal that sparked the direction for the songs on the new album. According to Nate, “‘Lone Ranger’ is about community within the body of Christ and it emphasizes the fact that the early church shared a connection that we need to maintain today. It’s not enough to say it’s just me and God--I need a support system around me within a body of believers.”

Marie Miller embraced the opportunity to further her relationship with Christian radio as “Cold” her first single continues to impress. After turning heads at GMA and finding her way into the Top 30 at CRW CHR, Marie shared her talents at each stop singing songs from her forthcoming debut album and playing guitar and mandolin to the amazement of fans and programmers alike.  Mike Schlote from KZZQ was amazed at her vocal control and purity at while Dave St. John at KNWI said that Marie definitely has “The Wow Factor.”
